It's Christmas Eve, I have food to prepare, presents to wrap, house to clean, washing everywhere, pack the car and drive an hour to my parents later this afternoon. I have no idea how I can do it......why?

Because I have the most stupendous HANGOVER ever. OMG I am not talking a take a nurofen and have a can of coke type hangover. It is a drinking copious amounts in 42 degree heat for 9hrs type hangover. I cannot even stomach a piece of vegemite on toast. sick.gif The kids were up at 630am and all I can do is lie on the couch and make sure they dont have a major accident and chuck some food their way every now and then.

It is going to be such a long day.

No wonder I havent done this since pre-kids. The aftermath is terrible! cry1.gif

Empathy OP, that was me two days ago. Had promised to take the kids to the zoo and couldn't let them down.

Maybe chuck the kids under the sprinkler?

Good luck!

You and my DH would be the best of friends right now. Somehow he got absolutely wasted yesterday thankfully he had the brains to sleep on the couch.

Oh dear... mellow.gif

I've done it maybe once or twice since DD and I think I've finally learned.... it's not bloody worth it

But I'm sure there'll be an exception and I'll find myself on the verge of death and only have myself to blame with DF finger pointing and laughing laugh.gif

Hope it's not long before you feel human again!

Never forget who you are, little star
Definitely do not attempt the housework or washing. They can wait.

Wrap the presents. Have a lie down.
Throw the ingredients for whatever you have to prepare into an esky with an ice brick. Have a lie down.
Pack the car. Have a lie down.
Get in the car and sleep for an hour while DH drives to your parents house.
Hand esky to parents, apologise. Lie down.

By sunset you will feel better, it always seems to be the way.

Oh Ehill you are so funny, I feel for you original.gif

Definitely leave the housework and washing, no one cares about that. Are any of the kids old enough not to believe in santa - get them to wrap the presents

I have no suggestions, the only thing I can offer is sympathy, have been there so many times myself

My war paint is Sharpie ink
I made that mistake on Saturday. My only consolation was that at least I'd remembered my limits before the Christmas season and can be more careful from her on in. That and I was up all night anyway with cranky baby and so got plenty of opportunity to drink water and ease the pain of the next day.
