Well "apparently" I haven't got enough food rolleyes.gif

dips
chips
kabana and cheese
nuts
fruit
lollies

5kg turkey
2 chickens
1 large ham

Potato Bake
Carrot Casserole
Beans
Roast Sweet Potato
Roast Onion
Roast Garlic
Corn on the Cob
Dinner Rolls
Mash Potato
Stuffing
Stuffing Balls (deep fried family recipe)

Custard
Jelly
Ice Cream
2 different puddings
ferrero rocher christmas tree

Have had my mum cracking it at me for not making enough veges...I have been cooking ALL day, will be cooking from 8am tomorrow morning...if that's not enough, they can p*ss off and eat elsewhere!

BTW this is for 8 adults, 4 kids, and 2 babies.

ETA I have also prepared coleslaw, potato salad, and pasta salad for the non vege eaters. Still getting b*tched at sad.gif I'm working so hard to incorporate some different foods that DH (american) is used to, using his grandma's recipes, and just keep getting told "oh that sounds disgusting, I'm not trying that"...I'm getting so upset.

It actually sounds pretty right to me, you'll end up with some leftovers, but not as much as you imagine. We hosted for my dad and stepmum and sister last weekend (so 5 adults and one child) and we had (sorry this is cut and pasted from my to-do list):

1kg cherries
Lychees
Three french cheeses with 3 kinds of crackers and plum paste
Mince tarts

French bread & cultured butter
Bangalow ham
Quinoa / parsley / pomegranate / pistachio
Smoked salmon / orange / fennel / baby capers (with an insane 500g of smoked salmon as it was cheaper to buy in bulk)
Lobster & watercress / avocado / cucumber salad with lime butter (again 1kg of lobster as cheaper to buy the large frozen tails)
Cold roast beef eye fillet with seeded mustard (served cold, again 1kg as cheap from the markets)
Mango & lime & ginger frozen cheesecake
Mini choc and gelati cones

We thought we'd be set for days with leftovers, but it was all gone by the next day. I think we have over-catered again for tomorrow (more traditional style though) but I'll probably be proved wrong!

Mareek, it sounds like so much delicious food. If you need someone to eat your leftovers, I am sure I can supply some mouths.

Give me my coffee and no one gets hurt!!!
Mareek, I'll happily come and eat your yucky 'American' food. It's making me homesick just reading it.

Skylark- I like your style too!

We're having 10 adults and 3 kids for lunch

Vege Anti-pasto platter
Breads & dips
Pistachios
Potato chips

48 devilled eggs (2 dozen full eggs)
Leg of ham
Turkey with cranberry & pistachio stuffing
Roast potatoes
2 types of german sausages
2 kg of prawns
Asian salad
Green salad

Fruit platter
Pavlova
Berry, cream and biscuit dessert
Chocolates
Various cheeses $ crackers

Plus lots of alcohol. I'm hoping not to get too tipsy as I may just let MIL have it this year.
