Hi, am cooking a whole snapper on the bbq, and need to know approx how long to cook it for, 2.2kg?

Depends how thick it is. Also make sure you wrap it in alfoil to avoid it drying out. Usually we cook it for 20 minutes then check it, and turn it over; it can take up to an hour or more.

yes cut the skin and add salt under the skin and in the gut part.

I just had a look at some recipes and they all vary in times but I think my husband's timing might be off a little. Have you stuffed the fish or just putting it on the grill?

Fish is stuffed, shallots, tomato, parsley, garlic and olive oil, have salted too.
Wrapped in foil. Will do 20 mins check and flip..... Arghhhh panicking....... |

maybe check at the 10 minute mark just to be sure but it sounds great! Just be careful you don't dry it out, by checking it at the 10 minute mark you can get an idea of how it is going and know how much longer it will need.
