Just before Christmas I got pneumonia, plus a whole lot of hormone issues. Great timing, hey. Anyways I am starting to feel not so sick now but I am exhausted, so so exhausted. I need to get my health and fitness back, and I don't really know where to start. I bought a treadmill which I used a total of four times before getting sick, and now I am nervous to get back on it so need to build my confidence up with that as well. Who would I go and see...a gp, a dietician? A personal trainer. I am just a little nervous and want to make sure I get well again, I have two toddlers to look after! Any ideas appreciated.

TIA

I had a bad year with recurrent illnesses and am needing to get back into exercise to improve my health. I am seeing an exercise physiologist. Higher qualifications than a personal trainer. Mine is part of a physio practice.

Similar situation here. I was hospitalised with pneumonia twice this year and have had a few health issues as well.

I suggest just starting gently. I don't know how bad you were, but I felt awful for at least two months after I was "okay". Tired, like I couldn't get enough air etc.

I am starting with diet. My doctors surgery has a diet clinic run a nurse. Start with GP and go from there.
