Do you think this is too big of a house for two adults and two girls aged 11 and 14

House has five bedrooms.

I don't think so.
Plenty of room for teenagers to do their own thing.

It's cold outside, there's no kind of atmosphere
It wouldn't be too big for us, no. One bedroom would be a study, one probably a guest bedroom and the remaining three would be adults and kids.

What one person thinks is big is vastly different to what the next person would think.

It's hard to tell without a floor plan or more photos of other bedrooms to look at, but I think it would be fine. I'd love a house that big now and there's only 4 of us at the moment.

The kitchen looked a bit small (I love baking and also make chocolates from scratch so I need space to spread out), so depending on the layout, you could expand that perhaps.

But with a bedroom each (useful for teenagers), one other bedroom would be a study and the fifth would be a spare bedroom. We'd love that space now!

One living room for the parents and another for the teens to escape to if needed (or vice versa!). I think it sounds great.

I grew up in a family of 4 with a 5 bedroom house. My parents are still there. No way was it too big. Isn't too big for the two of them on their own either. Every room is used for something.

Not at all. Did you buy it OP or are you concerned about a friend?

For me, way too big. But then I am very much in a 'downsizing' frame of mind lately [small house / minimalist movement and all that].

But for an average family who doesn't feel like me, I think it is perfect original.gif
