Dh and i will be staying in this year and having a few red wines and watching the fireworks on Tv. So what are your plans??

I was going to ask people this as I'm stumped. Dh just wants to stay home with the boys but I'm thinking we'll probably regret not doing something - anything. We might head down to the local park where they've got entertainment, rides for kids an fireworks at 9pm before making an early mark.

Normally just watch the fireworks on tv but its starting to get a little boring, so heading out for an 8 course degustation dinner this year.

We'll be at my best friend's mum's place for a Mexican themed party. Will be great for us, as I can put down DS (3.5mo) for bed in the porta cot and not have to fluff about with a sitter. She's close to the fireworks too...

We've actually got somewhere to go and looking forward to it this year. Our names are at the door at a sw**ky party in the city at our friends' new bar/restaurant. DDs are overnighting at Mum's. And the bus that goes past our house has extra services running NYE so no waiting for cabs hopefully .

Just need to work out what the hell to do with my hair...

DH is going to a big party at a mate's place where there will be heaps of music, wild partying and no kids. He's been lining up the tunes and is looking forward to hitting the decks and making some music.
At 7.5 months pregnant this does not appeal to me, so DS and I will go to a friend's party in the country where there will be heaps of kids, a relaxed vibe and local fireworks for the kids at 9pm.
It will be the first NYE DH and I have spent apart in more than 10 years, but I am letting him get away with it this year because we are about to embark on the new baby journey again and I want him to have the chance to let his hair down a bit.

Seafood feast at my aunts then off to the local club for a bit of a dance with a group of friends. Truthfully I would much rather stay at home and sleep through it but its the 2nd anniversary of my fathers passing so really should get out and take my mind off of it.

Going to a party that DH's cousin has organised... camping on the waterfront with about 30 - 35 people (including kids) - spit roast, salads and a bottle of Yellowglen Bella... and watching all the fireworks that people (illegally) set off around the lake that we will be next to. A couple of my best friends will be there as well, so it should be a good night. I've recruited the neighbours who will be home to come and let my dogs into the house before midnight as the dogs will be home alone for the night and I am worried about them getting scared if people set off fireworks around here, so all is organised ... we normally just stay home with us and maybe a couple of friends, so it will be a nice change to be around a lot of people
