GOLD!

ETA:

1) you have no idea how happy I am to have a new thread given the sad topic I shared in the last one. I feel like it's a new start now - for a new year of travels and fun original.gif

2) I just cheered myself for getting gold. I was saying "Gold, gold, gold!" and DH asked me what on earth I was doing. I told him I had the first post so I got gold. He said "so do you get a gold medal or something??" and when I said no, he seemed really confused as to why I should care then. lol .... poor thing just doesn't get it.

3) Again I am the last poster in the last thread and the first one in this thread. Someone please help me to get a life! wink.gif

I'm going to America this year!!!!!

The countdown is on, just 19 and a bit weeks before we start pounding the pavement at Disneyland.

The downside, I have 19 weeks to lose 25 kilos so I don't die pounding the pavement lol.

Thanks, I will have a look. The other day my SIL started talking about all the things I need to book in for up to a year in advance (ie some sort of princess makeover for DD). I hadnt even heard of anything she was talking about- lol! She said she went on forums but couldn't remember which ones.

Yeah apparently Disneyworld is crazy like that.

Disneyland is easier, you can book up to 60 days in advance but reservations aren't always necessary.

I am currently in negotiation with the hotel I have booked for my NYC stay.

I booked through a third party website and the rate advised that all taxes were included. The price is very cheap.. so I have emailed the hotel, just to confirm.. and of course, they are now saying that taxes aren't included and have added about $184 to the total.

I am not traveling until August.. so I have ample time to sort this out. I am glad I did this now, not at check-in after an overnight flight from LA.

I'm also having some trouble redeeming a free reward in Vegas that I have earn't through an online facebook game (all legit). Lucky.. I have lots of time before I travel!
