Hi. I'm keen to join weight watchers this week to finally loose my baby weight (he's now 16mo). I've done WW before with success.
However I'm not keen to eat any low fat / fake sugar foods. I prefer whole foods, full fat milk, full fat cream, etc. Experts, do you think it's worth me joining? I would obviously track portions and not over eat. I am keen on WW as I want a plan and I want to accountable weekly. Thank you! Jenny |

Go have a look at my fitness pal. Eat what you want, there's an excellent app for your phone to log all your food and it's free.

WW is fantastic....I am such a huge fan. I've only ever used the online tools and they are so great. I believe there is a phone app which I think would be so handy at the supermarket.
I've used it a couple of times and each time I have had great success. I can't say enough about WW as it just gives me the structure I need to make sure I eat the right food/quantities. I just had a look on their website and they have $1 joining fee if you sign up for three months and the monthly fee works out to be $32....so worth it!! They will charge your credit card each month after your initial 3 months and if you opt out, they usually do it within 24hours (I just opt out when I reach my goal). You can expect to lose about 1 kilo a week if you follow it pretty consistently for a week. I like the fact that if you fall off the wagon, you can continue with it the next day and still lose a little bit of weight that week! |

Sorry, I should have said that I don't mind low sugar and fake sugars. But if you are really keen on full cream milk for example, you just adjust your quantity and cut corners elsewhere in your diet. Sometimes it is worth sacrificing a few points here and there to have the things you enjoy. A diet is more sustainable that way!

I lost 15kg on WW whilst still eating full fat dairy products. I just have to adjust the amount so if I want a glass of milk I only have a 1/4 cup rather than a 1/2 cup. Personally I prefer the taste of the full fat and would rather have a small amount of that than a larger amount of something I don't like.
The only issue I had was when I was trying to track the servings of dairy I couldn't alwys get the two full servings of full fat. It's definitely doable, thats whats so great about WW - you can tailor it to fit your lifestyle. I do agree with Lausii though if you're worried about money myfitnesspal is very similar for no price if you're worried about the money. |
