Disclaimer....I rarely spend money on shoes, or handbags and I generally wear inexpensive clothes.

There is a handbag I really REALLY like at David Jones that costs $342!!!

Its is beautiful wub.gif I have fallen in love with it and REALLY want to buy it. I have money I got for Christmas and I did a week of on call and a week of late shift so am going to get a good pay tomorrow.

Did I mention I really want this bag?

So....how much would you spend on a bag?

Hmm - me - no more than $100. Sorry I wouldn't be able to justify buying it! Perhaps if I lived a lifestyle of the rich and the famous, I wouldn't think twice. But I don't so I can't ;-P

I have never spent that much on a bag but I probably would if I found one that I really loved. Unlike shoes it's something that you wear every single day so if there was an item in my wardrobe worthy of that much $ it would be a bag.

It looks like a Spencer & Rutherford. They often have sales online. There's one at the moment, can't see your bag there, but there are similar http://www.spencerandrutherford.com/store/sale-c36.html Good luck!

I would if it was something I really loved and knew I was going to get use of. I'd much rather spend that kind of money on something of quality then buying lots of cheap items that don't last.

It's a really lovely bag. What brand is it? It's worth checking online to see if you can get it cheaper elsewhere. Personally, I'd be a bit concerned about it being fabric, which doesn't wear as well as leather and doesn't last as long either. But, if you really can afford it and love it so much, then buy it. original.gif

I would, but I wouldn't spend that much on something massed produced through a department store, I can buy gorgeous one of a kind bags for that.

I bought a $2000 dollar bag about 18 months ago. I don't regret it and I still use it, but I admit I probably didn't need to spend that much.

I think $342 is very reasonable if the bag is on the classic side and you are not the type of person that gets sick of bags quickly. Somebody like my Mum has a bag in every colour, but they're not all that expensive. So I say it depends.

If you still reallllyyy want it in a few days (ie can't stop thinking about it). I say go for it!

$200 max and it would have to be leather. Last handbag I bought was a half price Oroton bag for $200.
