Hi - I'm about to buy one for general gardening and can't decide which to get. We're on acreage so want the petrol driven kind. The main problem is the gum leaves blowing in on the little patch of lawn and burying the large gravel sections I have bordering garden beds. Plus lots of dust, dirt and dog hair to deal with on the verandah.

We usually get Husky power tools, but Stihl are having a summer sale at the moment so good prices.

Let me know....

Cheers

We have a Husky. Easy to use for what it is but I HATE using it as the vac it is so difficult to use and heavy. I got it as we have a large block and lots of trees that lose their leaves in winter.

We only use it to blow the grass clippings back on to the lawn when mowing.

We have the Stihl BG86 and it is awesome. So easy to use and light enough for me to cart around. The blow speed is unbelievable and makes cleaning up very easy. The vac attachment is easy to attach and is quite effective. Due to the mulching bit in it, you need to make sure to not suck up anything hard like stones.

To be honest though, I don't use the vac attachment much as the blower is so effective.
