I use this one a lot. I usually add mushrooms and zucchini. It's delicious. I've done it with chicken mince and pork/veal mince.

Meatballs
500g mince 1 egg 70g bread crumbs from day old bread 1 clove of garlic crushed salt and pepper flour, for dusting Tomato Sauce 2 cans tomatoes 1 clove of garlic crushed 1 onion finely chopped Olive oil Combine all meatball ingredients except flour in a bowl and mix well. I find using your hands is best. Shape the mixture into walnut sized meatballs and roll in flour to coat. Put a small amount of olive oil into frypan or wok and gently cook onion and garlic. Add meatballs and stir to brown all over. Add tinned tomatoes, bring to a boil and then simmer gently till meatballs are cooked - about 10 minutes. Serve over pasta or rice. |
