Do I need to get a person to sign the back of the new photo to say 'this is a true photograph of......." or do I just write my name on the back of the one that is supposed to be stuck face down??

I don't have time to screw this up as I leave next month.

You need the person to sign it with 'this is a true photograph etc' and they also have to sign your form.

There is no space on the form for them to sign. It's really weird. And I cant find anywhere that it says to get someone to write on the back of the photo. I might ring them. It's a single sided page, nothing like the orginal paperwork I filled out.

I just renewed my passport a few weeks ago and I didn't have to get someone to sign it. When I got the passport photos done at the post office I was expecting to have to go home and find a witness to sign but apparently you don't with renewals so I was able to submit it right there and then

All Mustelidae wrangled. Except badgers. Drama llamas by appt.
If all you have is a single sided page, then I think you have the wrong form.

Go here and complete the form online and then print it out.

ETA after seeing greypink's post - things may have changed since I last renewed my passport, which was several years ago, so maybe you do have the right form. I would call them if I were you.

If you renewing a current (still valid) passport you don't need anyone to sign the new photos.

One of the many benefits of not letting it expire!

Thanks greypink. I might go in this arvo and make an appointment and ask at the PO then about it.

I'm pretty sure it is the right form, I got the Department of Forheign Affirs and Trade to send it to me, it has that my passport expired on the 8th of July and not to use this form after the 8th of July 2015. I'll ask the man at the PO though.

I did ours last year - the children's were the full form, but mine was a single page. I can't remember all the details because I did 4 at once, but I do remember it seemed much easier to do mine!
