At the end of last term I approached a school about the possibility of working there this year (it's a special school). They asked me to come in the next day, so I could meet them and they me. I did 6 days there in the last 3 weeks of school. It went great. They seemed really keen that I work there, loved that I wanted full time. Very positive. Except I haven't heard anything more since term ended.
I'm thinking about texting the deputy. But I'm not sure what to say. Or if its appropriate to do that. I know she's comfortable with text, as she texts me to see if I can work (which I've never come across before, but it works for me too). Should I text? What should I say? |

Dunno maybe I'm old fashioned but text feels a bit strange for that kind of communication!
Can you send her an email so you get to include a few sentences and a bit of context? Like, hope she had a great break, wishing her well for the new year, plus how much you enjoyed the opportunity to meet / work with everyone last year... then you could ask about availability / future opportunities etc. good luck |

My sister works for a special school in Melbourne and has had no contact with them since the end of term last year. I'd probably wait until Monday to get in contact with them, let them know you are still keen on employment.

Texting, to me, still seems a little too informal for this.
I would either front up in person, ring or email. |
