I found a roast leg of lamb in the freezer with the date of June 2012, would it be still ok to use? I'm not sure how long you are suppose to keep meat in the freezer for.

Yup it's fine, I think 6 months is the rule but it won't spoil it might just not be as good (freezer burn loss of moisture etc).

The other night i cooked a pork roast best before early Dec 2011. and it was fine, yum actually!

I think it would be fine - If youre worried about it being dry, I'd cook it in a slow cooker sprinkled with salt and rosemary!!!

Thanks ladies, I have it out to cook tomorrow, will put it in the slow cooker, to hot for a roast in the oven!! Yum looking forward to it now biggrin.gif
