I am just wondering if anyone has experienced discomfort weeks after a root canal. I had my first root canal done by an Endodontist 3 weeks ago.
I had originally visited my general dentist as I had throbbing pain in my bottom back molar. Turns out I needed a root canal, the general dentist started it but I was in alot of pain and he was unsure if he had missed a canal so referred me to an Endodontist.
He confirmed there were no cracks in the tooth and redid the first part of the root canal and left it 3 mths, it was fine during that time so I went back and he finished the root canal. It was fine for 3 weeks and now all of a sudden it hurts to tap on / bite down / chew. Could it be possible the bite is too high if it was fine for 3 weeks prior?
it is not throbbing or excrutiating but definitely not right.
Feeling a bit stressed out as I need to book in for a crown but dont want to if the tooth is playing up

I spent $300 at the first dentist $2200 at the Endodontist and then have the crown to pay for.
has anyone else experienced pain after a root canal?
I am wondering if i should have it extracted

Any success; stories after problems??
