In Year 7 we read a book of short stories, I think the title of the book was called The Supernatural, I have no idea of the author. I have looked up supernatural, but as you can imagine, that title is not rare.
I remember two stories from the book and will give you as much information as I can, in the hope that someone recognises them.
There was a little girl that loved playing in the yard and in particular near the white or red rosebushes. The girl was adopted as an orphan and she started talking about her brother. The parents found out that as a baby she was in a house fire and her brother had jumped from a window with her in his arms, he had died. They were communicating via the roses, I think.
The other story I remember was about a woman that worked in an office and her boss was called Mark Letter, she often had to stamp things that read 'mark letter urgent', which she found amusing because of her bosses name. She wasn't very fond of him and he used to twirl his tie around. One day she went home from work on the bus, but she felt as though she was invisible, no one tried to take her fare and it was a weird bus ride, no one spoke to her. She realised, once she got home that she had left something at the office, but she wasn't sure what. She went back, once again taking the bus where she seemed to be ignored and got to her office, where she found her body lying on the floor with her bosses tie around her neck, she had left her body at the office.
I know it's not much to go on, but I was just hoping someone else may know about the book I am talking about. I haven't been able to find my Year 7 English teacher on Facebook or anything to ask her.
