In absolute desperation I tried one of the pinned chants for lost items when I couldn't find my Kindle usb cable.

It kind of worked - I found a usb cable for a camera that I was looking for (but not desperately!).

However I still can't find my kindle cable...and my kindle is flat. HELP.....

No idea on where your cable is, though if you have a USB to Mini USB cable that may work.

Any chance your mobile phone is a Samsung? As you can use these chargers to charge your Kindle.

Woo-hoo! I was obviously just too impatient!!

I was going through a basket of 'stuff' and what did I find??? Yup, my Kindle cable...not that it should have been anywhere near that basket!

I will be trying the find it chant in the future, me thinks!

I haven't seen my kindle charger since the day I unpacked it! Luckily I found that my spare samsung cable worked!

I have my phone charger permanently beside my bed, it charges my phone at night and it is used as my main kindle charger whenever it needs it.

Sadly, my old-school phone (the type with buttons and stuff!) doesn't have the same plugs! I am pleased to announce that my Kindle is fully charged once more and the cable is back at the re-charging station as usual.
