I'm trying to eat more raw food and am gathering recipes. There are plenty of sweet recipes around (have found an awesome looking brownie recipe) but need to fill out my menu with more savoury and main meal dishes. Has anyone got any favourites they'd like to share?

Teresa Cutter who writes for House and Garden magazine often includes some amazing raw food recipes. It might be worthwhile doing a google search on her.

Search for a blog called Against All Grain. Has lots of raw food recipes there. Also do a google for "paleo" that style of diet is big on raw foods

Grated raw betroot, sliced red onion, chopped fresh parsley. I make the dressing with salt, a touch of sugar, garlic, seed mustard, cider vinegar in the mortar and pestle, pour over and eat. I love it!

I like this website for raw food ideas

http://rawfoodrehab.ning.com/group/thekitchen

The best being the "Nutella" one

Chocolate Hazelnut Butter Spread
Yield 1 1/4 cups

1 1/2 cups hazelnuts
3 tablespoons raw chocolate powder
1 1/2 tablespoons agave nectar
1/2 cup cashews
2 tablespoons extra virgin coconut oil
pinch Himalayan crystal salt

Process all of the ingredients in a food processor, fitted with the “S” blade, until creamy. That's it! Easy!

Ignorance is not a point of view.

Add a grated apple, and some grated celery, and that is one of my favourite salads. (I love it served with buffalo mozzarella, but I don't know how cheeses fit in with a raw food diet).
