I went back to work a few months ago at varied casual hours. DH would get home at 4:30 PM and he would whinge when I asked him to contribute to the housework or night time routine because "he worked all day and I was at home".
He is now getting a taste of what being at home means. He is on holidays this week and I am working 9-5 so he looking after our 2 children.
DD (16 months) had a rough night's sleep which meant I could retreat to the lounge and sleep through it (which is what he does to me) and I've now been home 2 hours and doing exactly what he does - sit on the couch or go out into the shed and relax.
He picked me up for lunch and brought me home and took me back and complained about how tired he is after all the running around he has done and how tiring it is and he has just came in with a basket of washing and huffed and threw it on the couch

and announced we are having takeaway because he's had a huge day and "a roast is out of the question".
