My DH did recently and didn't have any problems. The scoot thru checkin system was a little confusing, but apart from that he said it was fine, comfy and the food was pretty good.

We flew Singapore to Gold Coast on Friday.
It was fine. Check in was quick and easy. Plane was fresh and staff were nice. That is all you get though. It is a budget airline, so you need to take your own music, headphones etc. more so than Jetstar. There is no common screen, no headphone jack. If it is overnight you will need a blanket. I also found other passengers were not as considerate ie didn't put down window shades for the overnight flight, so I was glad I took eye shades. Our arrival at the Gold Coast was terrible. It took 1.5hrs to get our bags. I would fly them again, but it would need to be a big saving. |

Thanks everyone.
The sale was here http://www.flyscoot.com/index.php/en/promo-fares.html I added it up that flying to Bangkok economy with a stopover in Singapore then flying home Bangkok-Singapore-Gold Coast Scootbiz (business class) would only cost $1044 return including all meals, extra baggage added in, travel insurance, transfers between connecting flights etc... Is this a bargain ?? |

I flew to Singapore on Scoot. It was great, the price adds up when you book your own seats, extra baggage and meals etc but it was still a great price. Food was yum (one was chicken briyani) and well set out.
On the same trip we flew Tiger from Singapore to Phuket. Scoot was so much better, a lot more leg room. I would take pillows etc as you need to buy them but a blow up pillow doesn't take any room in your hand luggage. The inflight media wasn't working - I think you either book an ipad or take your own but being on a flight with my bestie with NO children and husbands I wasn't interested in watching a screen The Tiger flight was squashed in but being an overnight flight on a short trip we just sat upright for the whole flight. Oh on both carriers our baggage was quite overweight (due to shopping) and they didn't charge any extra! The business seats don't look any different to economy to be honest, I told DH I'd fly Scoot again but I wouldn't fly Tiger on any flight over an hour. Ask me any questions if you want. |

We paid extra for bulk head seats and it was fine.
I prefer Air Asia. Their sale starts tomorrow |
