Wondering if there are any regular '1000 Steppers' online here.
Thinking about venturing out there this weekend and wondering about the best time - ie the quietest?
What do you suggest?

Before 7am. Otherwise it is way too busy. Although I haven't done the steps since the new trail was opened which might help.

I just heard about this a couple of days ago and think I'll give it a go. Do you think it would be quieter on a weekday? Thanks original.gif

Mum to Cooper and Pinky
My Dad does this about three times a week as does my FIL.

They both say before 7am too! Dad usually goes weekdays between 4-5pm too.

Apparently parking up the top is much better than the bottom.

Thanks for the replies.

A pre-7am start is pretty tough for me as I have to travel across town.

What do you think about mid-afternoon? Would many be done for the day?

Mid afternoon would be perfect. There is generally an after work rush around 5ish on weekdays.

If you can avoid Sat and Sun mornings - sometimes you're lucky just to get a carpark. If you can, park down the bottom - saves driving to the top to find that there are no parks. Plus it's a great warm up!

Enjoy! It's a fantastic workout!

DP and I just got back half an hour ago. We got there at 2ish and there was plenty of parking. Not too many people around, just a good amount.

That was the first time I'd ever done it and oh - my - God. I am EXHAUSTED. I'm quite unfit though, and carrying a lot of extra weight, so I imagine others wouldn't find it as hard as I did. Special shout out to the kindly fellow who congratulated me and told me what a great job I was doing wub.gif Apparently he does 5 laps of the blasted thing EVERY DAY!

I am not a regular but I have done it before, if you don't wany busy I would not recommend sat mornings - this is the only time I get a chance to get there.
