I would like some ideas about making fried rice and can I still do this if I don't have a wok?

I think you can use a fry pan. If you have a deep one it's even better.

Yep, just do it in a big wide frypan that you can get very hot. Whatever you stirfry in normally.

I just make it in my normal frying pan. I'm sure that's technically not right, but it still tastes pretty darn good!

I use a deep wide frying pan to make our fried rice, works well. We have a wok, but I never use it.

Frypan is fine.

I didn't have a wok till 1990.. had been eating fried rice since 1973!

Deepish normal frying pan is fine.

I find it works better with rice cooked the day before and kept in the fridge overnight. However, apparently cold rice is full of toxins or something. Maybe I am immune to them, but you may not wish to take that chance.

Use plenty of soy sauce, and bean sprouts.

I used to always use my Wok and when i had to turf it i thought it was the end of the world...till i realised a frying pan works just as well original.gif
