We're going to Canada for a holiday, and our current plan is to take DS's carseat on the plane for him to sit in. Once we get there, it is appealing to just use his Australian car seat rather than hiring a Canadian one, given that we've already carted it halfway across the world!

Looking at the information for the province that we're in, it seems that they have car seats with lap/sash belts, but they don't seem to require a top tether for rear-facing. Does anyone know if the LATCH system top anchor for FF can be used as an anchor for an Australian seat?

His seat is a SnS Compaq, if that helps. I'm going to try asking the manufacturer for advice as well.

Latch top anchor point would be like ours.

In US/Canada they don't anchor RF and if they do it s Swedish method forward.

Your seat though would be illegal to use though wink.gif

Thank you for the response! My first concern was the safety aspect, and we'll go from there original.gif I'm a little concerned about installing an unfamiliar carseat, secured with an unfamiliar system, in the airport at midnight after travelling for 30 hours. Anything to make that easier appeals!
