OMG I have just had my street blocked off with Police everywhere hunting a gunman. All doors are locked. My granddaughter goes to day care in the next street so I gave them a ring and they are in lock down.

All over with no shots fired, it is good to know the police are there when needed. Well done to them all.

Yowza - scary stuff Jeni!

You probably know all this, but lock everything up, stay away from windows and doors, don't open up for anyone without id - keep phone in hand.

Try and keep calm - if you can.

Very scary. There was a similar thing near where I live. They were hunting a guy, had blocked of streets had the helicopter and dogs out.

How scary for you. My kids school went into lockdown one day right at the end of the day. All the parents were quickly ushered inside and it was quite frightening. Hopefully it is all resolved quickly
