We are looking at going to Hawaii in late September for Dads 60th. I have read mixed things on the internet about if DD who will be 19months will need a carseat in the taxi. We will only be in the taxi from the ride from the airport to the hotel. If we hire a car for a day or two we will get one fitted.
Does anyone know first hand if she can ride on a lap in a cab there, or if the laws are they must be restrained appropriately?
If you can I will ring and book ahead and try and book one with a carseat fitted anyway, as I have done at home

No carseat required. Just pop them on your lap or next to you with a seatbelt around them.
