Not sure what to do re. a 2nd car seat for our 8 month old. He is currently RF in a meridian t&a, but is just about at the height marker to turn to FF. We want to buy a second seat for my husband's car so we can both do daycare pickups/drop off. He is a pretty big baby, 9+ kg, so should we just get a FF seat, which should last us longer, and if so which one?
Thanks

I would not turn an 8 month old. I'd look for a longer rfing seat, safe n sound compaq is great, my 2 1/2 year old can rf in it.

In had considered this option as I don't really to turn him yet, but how much higher are the rf height markers on a compaq vs a meridian?

SnS Compaq or Lifestyle has high RF markers.

Infa secure Neon and Kompressor also have highRF markers.

also contact Britax about your RF markers. Early batches of their seat had low RF markers. I believe new covers have higher RF markers.

Eta my 94cm DD is on the turn to FF line.

This.

If your RFing height marker is lower than about 34-35cms then you have an old cover. All Safe N Sound convertible car seats should have the same height markers now.

Ring Britax and tell them how disappointed you are that such a young baby is at the line already, and they SHOULD offer to sent you out a replacement cover with higher height markers free of charge.

Also, is the insert out? That should give you a few extra cms.
