Hi everyone

I am thinking of enrolling my 2.5 yo in daycare for 1 day a week (mainly for socialisation and learning purposes). He doesn't have a lot of speech happening and I thought this may encourage him.

I know of a few centres in the area (Camden & Narellan) but really would like some recommendations or personal experience with any of them. I really want to get him into a fun, supportive and caring place.

Does anyone have any input, recommendations or advice?

TIA original.gif

Hi there!

My DD, aged 4 goes to Macarthur Early Learning at Elderslie.
Its a fairly new centre (opened in Jan 2012). We are extremely happy there. The staff, facilities, programs are great. Pretty sure there is a waiting list tho.

Hope this helps original.gif

My son was slow to speak. We sent him to Camden Cottage in Camden one day a week at 27 months and they were excellent. He loved the workers there and it is a lovely family environment. I cannot recommend that daycare highly enough.

I do feel his talking improved by going, even one day a week, as it forced him to communicate with other people and increased his confidence.

We have since moved and my son still talks fondly of Camden Cottage.

Good luck!

Thank you both!

We are actually starting him at Camden Cottage next week original.gif

I know it is going to be great for him. We went to visit the other day and he didn't want to leave!
