Give me my coffee and no one gets hurt!!!
On the weekend I noticed Kleenex tissues boxes for sale covered in the Australian Flag. A few aisles further on there were Tim Tims in a flag covered packet. There were a few other items as well.

I get the stubbie holders, car flags, bucket hats etc. But food items too?

So WDYT. Is this taking 'Stralya Day a bit far?

Not really.

Marketing gimmick trying to boost more sales, that all I see.

What fresh hell is this?
Yeah, I've never quite got the argument that I'm being disrespectful if I raise the fact that I have issues with having the Union Jack on our flag, but it's patriotic for some mouthbreather to wrap it round his sweaty bollix rolleyes.gif

Yeah. These were in Woolies. Little Y-fronts with Australia on them and red, white, blue colour scheme. Hanging beside the bibs, singlets, stubby holders and anything else they can stamp the flag on.

I guess I just found it the tissue boxes a bit of an odd thing biggrin.gif

I agree with you OP, at my supermarket they also had paper towel with some patriotic message printed on it.

I will admit to getting he tissues though, but only because I have a cold needed them and couldn't be bothered going all the way back to the aisle with the normal ones.

It is all just getting a bit over the top

I don't like Australia Day anyway so it becoming a huge merchandising thing annoys me no end.
