Am hoping to someone can give me an answer. I've just made pizza dough for the first time, yay me! I wanted to be organised for the pizza making tonight, so made the dough this morning. Which leads me to my question... It's in the bowl, definitely doubled in size etc - what do I do now? Can I just leave it sitting in the bowl until tonight or should I roll out the pizzas (recipe supposedly makes 3). Have I ruined the whole thing by my quest to be organised?!
Silly question I know, but if someone could help I'd be eternally grateful! |

you can put it in the fridge..... or leave it as is if it is not a hot day....
ETA - if you put it in the fridge, punch it out first - you will find it will rise again in the fridge but it makes rolling out much easier! This post has been edited by mmuc83: 25/01/2013, 11:47 AM |

Yep, pop it in the fridge - but get it out at least 30 mins before you want to roll it out, so it can warm up a bit and roll/rise easier.

I made some the other day, punched it down and divided it up then wrapped it in cling film and put in the fridge. Take it out 30 min prior to using and then roll out.
