Our vacuum has died & we are now needing another. Our budget is $200 but under $150 would be great.

We have mostly timber floors with carpet in the bedroom. One cat who really doesn't shed much at all.

My requirements are:

- quiet (as far as vacuumes go lol)
- I don't think I want an upright one (but you can talk me around!)
- I think I want bagless?
- Don't care re brands

So...advice?

I got a volta vacuum from myer for only $100! Good quality, bagless and easy to empty, not upright..Not overly noisy but not extra quiet either. I like it. It is quite small, but I only have a 2 bedroom townhouse so suits it well.

Same here actually!

I've spent too much on expensive darn VC over the years and just other day, picked up a Volta volante at Big W for $99. We too have hard vinyl plank flooring with carpet in bedrooms. It's bagless and so far I reckon it's the best VC we've had since my Upright Volta that's now 20 yrs old and still going strong!

I just can't use the upright as it hurts my back, but between these 2, I reckon I've now nailed the constant VC woe tthumbs.gif

And I can buy a new one of these every year for 7 yrs in comparison to that last stupid expensive thing I had mad.gif

Thanks girls. I'll look at those.

Anyone have a Vax? Or any other suggestions?

Try the Aldi bagless cyclonic, we have one and it is great! As long as the filters are cleaned regularly it does a fantastic job.
