well it has taken a while and a lot of thinking but the perfect cat came up that needed a home because he was at risk of being taken to the rspca.

His name is Darren and he is a 5yr old average house cat... he has a very placid personality atm except for our minor mishap where he escaped outside and it took a fair bit of effort to get him back in (along with a fair few scratches - a vet trip is needed soon to get those trimmed!)

his previous owners got to sick to look after him full time so he was spending a lot of time at a cattery which was stressing both them and darren.

So now i have a bundle of black fur sleeping need to me... the owner of the cattery and the original owners of darren know about DS2 history of having an asthmatic reaction to cat hair years ago but he has seemed to have grown out of it as he had no problems living with ex's cats, however they have said if we have any problems they will happily take him back and try to find him a new home again but they are running out of time and not many people want an adult cat.

So here is our new pet....

it was one of my requirements when looking at getting a cat...

had to be desexed, vaccinated, an adult, good with children...

the old owners even offered to pay a large amount towards his next vaccinations because they are due earlier than they thought. Once he has settled in i am going to offer for them to come and say goodbye to him properly as i picked him up from the cattery and they didn't get a chance to say a proper goodbye.

DARREN?? Uh...ok.

He's gorgeous! Has lovely shiny, silky fur. You know, it's quite easy to clip cats nails with human nail clippers. I did my three last week, my nan's two cats on saturday and my partners cat today.

Train your dog, it's worth it!
Very debonaire.

Looks like he's wearing a tuxedo.

Congratulations on your new furry family member! biggrin.gif
