Is anyone else here involved with Masters Swimming?

I've been back into swimming for a few years now, and have really picked it up to the point of doing 3 x 1200m per week straight after school before picking DD up from after school care.

After doing years of competitive squad swimming when younger, I never thought I'd return to lap swimming...until this lovely old man in my lane convinced me to look in to Aussie Masters. He's a club coach, and insisted that there are plenty of members my age happy.gif

Does anyone else do Masters? Does it cater for all levels of commitment (not sure I could commit to too much at this stage), and is it reasonably relaxed and social?

The swim club my kids belonged to had an adult squad, some of whom competed and some who just trained for fitness. They were quite social and varied in age from 30ish to perhaps early 70's. Quite a number of them were involved in competitive open water swimming. There was also another adult squad for triathletes.
