I need to buy a present for a boy turning 7 (a friend)... I need to post it interstate so it can't be enormous.
What can you recommend? Having three girls, I have absolutely no idea what boys play with!! I want to spend around $20-30. HELP! |

Lego! $20-30 will get you a decent set, light and easy to post! My 7 year old ONLY plays with Lego, so I may be a tad biased??

My 7 yo loves that Angry Birds Knock 'em down game. He got it for his 7th birthday and it is the one thing he consistently plays with 6 months later. He doesn't play by the rules (there are cards indicating what structure to build and what birds you get to use to knock it down), he just builds up his own creative structures and knocks them down with the birds. Hours of legitimate destruction.
I think it's about $20. |

I got my 7 y/o nephew a foam rocket thingo that you operate by jumping on it from a national geographic type store. He loved it, as did his mates at his party!
It was quite cheap and light too so postage would be quite cheap. Actually my nephews love a lot of stuff from in there, chemistry type stuff and gadgets, and to suit any budget. |
