Hi,

Ive tried the search function, but not getting what Im looking for.

Someone posted the most amazing cookie recipe here maybe a year ago, it makes those yummy chunky cafe style cookies?

All I can remember that the was a can of condensed milk and possibly coconut too, maybe some choc chips (unless I added them myself).

I think no more than 5 ingredients all up?

It made heaps, you could freeze the dough mixture too, and tasted so dam good. happy.gif

Hope that rings a bell for someone?

Is this the recipe? I know you can freeze it and I just grabbed it from another site

500g butter or margarine
1 tin condensed milk
1 cup sugar
5 cups self-raising flour

Cream sugar and butter. Add condensed milk and flour. Roll into teaspoon sized balls and press down with a fork. Place on greased trays and bake in moderate oven (approx 180 degrees C) until golden brown (approximately 10-15 minutes). For a less ‘floury’ biscuit – substitute half a cup of flour for 1/2 cup of custard powder.

These are some flavours suggested by you!

Chocolate chips
Cornflakes and sultanas
Hundreds and Thousands
Malted Milk
Milo and coconut
Peanut Butter
Jam drops
Chocolate (add cocoa)
Chocolate with Dried Ginger
Dried Apricot with ginger and rolled in coconut.
White Chocolate and Macadamia

Hmmmm...

I can't remember? huh.gif

Although, I do think the ones I had in mind had coconut in it, Im not so keen on coconut, and remembered it didnt taste bad at all.

If no one comes in with the other recipe, I'll give these one a go though.

Thanks for searching. biggrin.gif

Those biscuits are great, I've made them many times. I always use the custard powder as it creates a much nicer texture to the biscuit. I make that recipe into jam drops and also into peanut butter and chocolate ones (roll a ball of dough, flatten it slightly, make a well in it with your thumb, put in the well a teaspoon of smooth peanut butter and a few chocolate chips, they all melt together and it's like a Reece's Piece in a biscuit).

Ignorance is not a point of view.

Absolutely you can freeze the dough.

I make a similar dough, but it has only half the butter.

250g butter
2 eggs
1 cup sugar
1 tin condensed milk
1 cup desicated coconut
1 cup rolled oats
2 cups "favourite things" eg choc chips, chopped nuts, dried fruit, etc
4 cups SR flour (give or take depending on the add-ins and how dry they are)

I make the above with added brewers yeast, flaxseed meal, and double the oats (reduce flour accordingly) as breastfeeding cookies. Usually with dried cranberries and white chocolate, and a bit of cardamon.
