So now the year had kicked off, I admit I am feeling a little lonely

DH is back at work, and it's just me and DS (3 in April) and I am looking for a friend or two or three

Currently we spend a day a week with the PIL, we go to playgroup Wednesday mornings, swimming in Thursday mornings, but the rest of the week looms large and lonely.

My best friend has gone back to work, so no more play dates during the week with her.
My playgroup mums, while lovely ladies, don't seem interested in catching up outside of playgroup (to he fair they all have other kids and a lot less free time than me). All my other friends are working full time.

So I really would like to make some new friends who can spare the time for a regular catchup at the park, or at play centers or even (when we feel comfortable) at each others houses

I am 36 yo and DS is my one and only. I think I am reasonably intelligent and have a good sense of humour. I like baking and cooking (so a friend with benefits LOL!) I love having a coffee and a chat (about the kids of course!) and enjoy exploring the local parks and also occasionally driving further afield to go somewhere new.
