DD will only eat 4 things for brain food, apple, banana, corn and grapes.
Carrot sticks, pears, oranges, watermelon and mandarins are other options. |

I just buy the 4 packs of the tiny cans of corn and drain them and put them in a container of a morning. Buy cheap brand plastic teaspoons! Or you will end up teaspoonless over the course of the term.

Sultanas, dried fruit, small packs of stewed fruit (if allowed) or fruit in jelly? celery sticks with cream cheese or peanut butter, hommus and carrot sticks. Needs to be something small & not too messy! Some schools will only allow fruit or veggies, so maybe check.

I know a number of schools do not accept dried fruit for brain food/munch n crunch, just fresh fruit or fresh veg. My son's teacher said little pots of yoghurt were fine too. So far I have given him
carrots and cherry tomatoes strawberries/grapes/blueberries (they are so cheap atm and quick to gobble down) an apple He probably will have an apple, banana or carrot sticks most days with some seasonal fruit to mix it up a little |

Check with the school, ours discourage sultanas and dried fruit and dont allow popcorn, fruit in jelly, crackers, yoghurt or the fruit in little tubs in juice.
It pretty much has to be fresh fruit or veg. I was worried about the corn but DDs teacher said it was fine. |

Our school want fruit or veg and nothing that can be messy and get on their work etc. They would prefer they left things like popcorn or rice crackers etc for recess or lunch. They are allowed oranges but had to tell a couple of kids they can't have them as they eat too messy and get sticky fingers.
Mine take banana, apple (whole or cut), orange, cucumber, capsicum, carrot, peach, nectarine, grapes, strawberries, rockmelon or watermelon cut into small pieces with a little fork. |
