Hi! I am after a cookie recipe to use cookie cutters with for a kids party on the weekend. The few recipes I've tried have risen too much or been too crumbly or not given a nice smooth edge... they need to be nice and smooth and flat to be decorated with royal icing.
A recipe that's been tried and tested and works would be fantastic- thank so much! |

I have a tried and tested gingerbread one I'll go pull out if that's of any interest. It's the recipe that a dozen different teachers used to use to make Christmas cookies for a soup kitchen in a school I once worked in. Different people, different kitchens, and suprisingly consistent results.
I've only made them in balls with a fork mark but others used to roll and use cutters. Would the kids like gingerbread? |
