DHs cousin is having a baby soon so obviously the wife is having a baby shower thrown for her.
For personal reasons I have chosen not to attend but want to send a gift. Never been to a shower so not sure what to get.
I can't afford anything expensive + not to be mean her n me aren't in the least close so don't want to fork out too much.
Plus she is über fussy. Think its a girl but would prefer to get something gender neutral.
Any ideas and help would be appreciated

the things i liked best from mine were practicle things that i hadn't thought of myself.

eg, mattress protector, cup holder for the pram, a hook for the pram to hold shopping bags, newborn head support for the pram.

i think this is because i got given a billion clothes and rugs. useful things stood out to me.

If I wasn't going to the shower I'd wait until the baby was born and give a small gift then. Basic bonds wonder suits are always useful.

if you're looking for something nice but not expensive, go for aden & anais products at http://www.baby-bedding.com.au/aden-anais-products.html, the sleeping bags are about $28 for summer weight, medium size is pretty big and will work for next summer. i just bought one for me and one for a gift, they are so soft!

if your budget stretches further go for the wraps, again really soft, we used our one a&a wrap all the time for newborn stage. one or two wraps are about $20-30.

add postage, & you can get it wrapped and sent straight to her too.
