DS is the lucky one at school to be in the only grade that is required at school on Thursday (cue very unhappy child). So given that it is the only class out of 15 at the school required to be there would they actually be doing normal work or more likely that it will end up being a bit of a muck around day that includes those with parents who can't/don't make other arrangements

thanks for that - based on your info I will send him so he can do something productive rather than hang around the house with grumpy me that doesn't want anyone around
