We picked six figs ofour (neigbours!) tree todaqy.
I'm thinking something desertish - any suggestions? |

|
Wet them and roll in sugar. Place in a small baking dish, add a couple of tablespoons of water and a teaspoon of sugar to the dish, bake in a moderate oven until the sugar is caramelised and the figs are soft.
Delicious with good vanilla ice cream. |

Prosciutto and figs are made to go together. Try prosciutto-wrapped figs drizzled with balsamic vinegar and baked in the oven.

Mmmmmmmm how about this?
Or this if the previous one looks too much phaffing? Or this... like my Mum used to do (the mascapone came in later years when she got all posh and stuff, it was cream or custard bask when I was a wee one) And yes, my mother did feed her children booze filled food, and s's nuthin' wrong wif me now neither! |
