Just curious if people celebrate both their wedding anniversary & the date they met...

One & the same for us!

We married on the 1st anniversary of our first meeting -- it was a Saturday when we met, and a Monday (such an uncoventional day for a wedding) when we married.

We are very efficient people. wink.gif

Yes, we do. We had been together 8 years when we got married, and had been celebrating that anniversary for so long it seemed strange to drop it.

Ours is not quite the same day, but very close. Purely coincidental, if it wasn't we wouldn't celebrate the day we met, but we do like to reminisce about it fairly often wub.gif

We met on April Fool's Day and got engaged on 01 October 5 1/2 years later. We married on 14 April.

On the date we got engaged last year we had a picnic on the beach where DH popped the question, so nice and low key.

We have decided to do something nice in the first two weeks of April every year to celebrate our meeting/wedding. Maximum flexibility!

I can't remember the date we met, or the date of our first date, engagement, or any of that kind of thing. I have a terrible memory for dates, so the wedding anniversary is well enough for me.
