Just finished watching here. Thought it was great. I think it is a 6 part series.

Wow some sad heart in mouth moments.

I watched it on ABC iview, as I missed it on tv. Very enjoyable.

Was a little stressful to watch. I felt their frustration of not being able to give the care they wanted to because of lack of staff and an influx of patients.

I also think the lady with the no foetal movements should have had a C/S on admission based on that tracing but lack of staff meant it didn't happen

It was great but very stressful viewing. I cried half the episode! Also interesting to see how floppy one of the babies was after the mum was having morphine in labour.

I thought it was interesting too. I was so glad that the baby that needed the blood transfusion was OK.

I had my first two babies in a busy NHS hospital in London so it was intersting to compare my experience. It was obvious that the labour ward in the show was very under resourced and the midwives seemed very rushed. Maybe I was lucky but both times I gave birth in London I felt that there were enough staff and that I was very well cared for.

It pretty much matched my experience of giving birth twice in a NHS hospital in London especially the ''induction ward'' with the tiny 4 bed either side bays Though that was in 2000 & 2001 , Kings College maternity ward went through a complete renovation just after DD#2 I think .

I was in tears through pretty much the entire show , loved it .

Made me want another little newborn... without some of the stress of those births though! Great show.

Yes, I found that distressing to watch too, she's a few tears actually! I thought it a very good depiction of reality in a busy, understaffed, under resourced hospital though.

I actually thought the midwives appeared to be giving quite good care. It seemed effective and empathetic, despite the waits for beds etc. Just as good as care I've received in Australia (which may not be saying much!)
