So since having DS I have noticed that my, er, waste products and flatulence smell like his! This is also the case with DH. So what is going on? Is this some biological symbiotic thing? A sign of us all bonding? Are we just a very unique family? Can anyone shed some light on this topic as it's been puzzling me for months!

How's your diet been? Perhaps it has changed since the baby has been born (ie more takeaway since babies are so time consuming)?

Hi Missy, hmm, we were eating more takeaway than usual when DS was a newborn, but that's settled down since. I forgot to add that I'm not breastfeeding DS and DS is now seven months old.

If you're all eating similar foods it makes sense you all produce similar smelling waste

Good point, however the foods we're eating aren't all that similar? DS is still on formula and fruit and vegetable purees, whereas DH and I have a more varied diet that includes cereals and meat? Quite puzzling!

Good point Meggs, there is certainly more of a focus on bodily functions since the arrival of DS!
