Best meals I've ever had were:

A beautiful seafood paella cooked by my good friend,

Thai food at some shack in koh Samui in the middle of nowhere.

(give us the recipe or name of the restaurant if you knw it!)

Trust me... I'm a scientician
I vividly remember a seafood linguine I had at a posh Italian restaurant. I'm not a huge fan of seafood, but it was SO good.

Also a beef (buffalo!) rendang I had at a dodgy looking resaurant in Bali. It was the tastiest meal I've ever eaten Tounge1.gif

Oooh so many to choose from! My standout was 3 amazing courses at Pier, Rose Bay, back in 2004.

I had an amazing steak drenched in Bernaise sauce and on a bed of very creamy mashed potato at a lovely pub in Wagga wagga, which is in a sand stone buidling.

Also love the food at The Little Snail at Pyrmont, Sydney, particularly their garlic snails and also Diethnes in Sydney for Greek food.

Love the fish and chips at Cabarita Beach, Northern NSW (Stunned Mullet) and a little village also in Northern NSW by the of Tumbulgum has a fantasic pub bistro and a delightful little cafe called House of Gabriel, the food is amazing!

A seafood linguine. Was extremely fresh and had a beautiful flavour. Was at a seafood restaurant on the foreshore. DH had a steak which he has also ranked one of the best meals he has eaten.

Also a steak in New York. Cooked perfectly and melted in my mouth.

We had 5 meals over a three day period in a teeny tiny restaurant in Rocca di Castagnoli in tuscany when we were there is 2006. It was such simple food, done so well. My love affair with spaghetti vongole, florentine steak, pecorino cheese served with honey and chianti came from there. I would give anything to go back there!

Fresh lobster straight off the trawler at a motel resaurant in Robe, South Australia. No sauce, no side dishes, just beautiful fresh lobster.

not exactly disingenuous
Truffle risotto at a little restaurant on the Sunshine Coast, the name of which escapes me. If I could have done it without being seen, I would have licked the bowl.

Cheers,
Julie
