Giving (and receiving) your child a kiss, where??

I had a discussion at a local playgroup yesterday about parents kissing their kids on the cheek or on their forehead only or if they kiss them on the lips as well. The general consensus was: "EWWWWWW kissing your child on the lips is SO wrong! They carry bugs and have often got snotty noses and coughs. You would get sick all the time." AND "ONLY my husband/partner is allowed to kiss me on the lips. It's inappropriate to do this with a child". DS kisses me on my cheek, arms, forehead, lips, etc. No particular spot, just whatever he feels like or whatever part of me is closest lol. I have no issue with it whatsoever. What about other EB mums and dads?

The playgroup mums are the ones with the problem if they think kissing their own kids on the lips is wrong I always kiss my kids on the lips, and anywhere I can get a kiss in! And my parents always kissed me on the lips and still do. Some people are just strange.

I've always given my son a kiss on the lips, and all over his face. Nothing like a sloppy wet one

When DD was little she would kiss me on the cheeks, lips. pretty much anywhere on my face. Now that she's a teen I mostly get an air kiss on the cheek.

I just take whatever I can get.. DD is not much of a kisser, so if I get one I feel honoured.. I don't care where she puts it Thankfully she loves giving cuddles..

I'm more likely to kiss on the cheek but I don't think it's wrong to kiss your child on the lips. Never thought about it, really.

I don't like kissing/being kissed on the mouth by my children but then I don't really like kisses from anyone. I would much prefer a hug any day

If a cat doesn't like you, then what's wrong with you?
My DS is super affectionate. We spend all day kissing each other and eating each others faces. I think it just comes down to personal preference. Neither is right or wrong and neither should be seen as weird.

I'm not a fan of people kissing babies on the lips (for hygiene reasons), but once they're a bit older (toddler/kids) I don't see a problem with it. I'm more likely to kiss my son on the cheek/forehead than lips, but thats just me.

We're lip kissers here too. Lip, cheeks, forehead, whatever.
