Hi,
We are travelling over to Europe in June and I am struggling to find where to find accommodation, we have booked our flights etc and now need to organise our hotels. I was wondering if anyone could help with the following cities please Milan Nice Barcelona We are a family of 5 (which let me tell you, it's not easy to find accommodation that fits us all) Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance |

Are you looking at apartments? We booked all our accommodation for the USA through Trip Advisor or FlipKey. Trip Advisor have both hotels and apartments.
A search for Barcelona on Trip Advisor for example, http://www.tripadvisor.com.au/Hotels-g1874...nia-Hotels.html You can narrow the search to hotels, areas, apartments, etc. |

Would this site help
air bnb They have listings world wide and you can find apartments or houses that are not hotels but they do have reviews and would be cheaper than hotels. (I have not used this site yet - But I can't wait till I can!) |

We used venere.com to book all our accom in Europe. It's really easy to use compared to some of the other sites. Or alternatively, go and see a travel agent. We did that recently and were able to book a 2 bedroom apartment at a hotel that doesn't offer that on their website.

Citadines have apartments all over Europe especially in France so check their website.
Tripadvisor is my bible. I never ever book a hotel or apartment without checking the reviews on that website. Www.expedia.com.au Also, to add, this is something I spend hours on. I never book the first thing I find. I have a map in hand (a Lonely Planet or something) while I am surfing to check exact location. I cross check every hotel with tripadvisor etc. There are some real dumps in the big cities of Europe so take your time. Google is your friend! Thank you, I find I get very overwhelmed with trip advisor etc, I might go see a travel agent.

It will be much cheaper to organise yourself.
I have heard good things about airbnb - and an apartment will probably be more comfortable than a small hotel room for your family. |

We used
http://www.vrbo.com/ when we went recently. had no problems with it at all, descriptions were very accurate and was very easy to book etc. there are generally a lot of reviews which help to choose things. We are a family of 4 and did 4 weeks through Italy and France (flew into Milan) |

The only thing that worries me about airbnb is that apparently they can cancel on you with only 2 days notice.
I also refuse to pay the full amount for accommodation before I arrive, because if you don't like it and it sucks you are stuck, AHHHHH off to look at VRBO website, thanks. |
