DS has just been 99% diagnosed with an inguinal hernia (having an u/s tomorrow to confirm) so will need surgery.

GP didn't recommend a surgeon as yet (he is going to check for any that specialise in working with children) so I thought any EB members in Ballarat might be able to recommend one.

If you have a positive experience with a General Surgeon for a child could you PM me?

DD and DS have both been on the paed ward as babies. DD was three months and there overnight, DS was 3 days old and there 2 nights we had gone home and then he had to be readmitted and couldn't go into SCN).

They were great with us both times. The second time I took them in a new kettle for the parents pantry as the old one was so grimy!! I thought it was such a great help to the parents on the ward it was the least I could do.

RCH website says it will likely be a day procedure so we probably won't go to the ward.
