cant recommend a general surgeon but the anaesthetists were great with my kids. so relaxed my 5 year old watched them insert the needle a d didnt flinch. paedeatrics ward/nurses were also great.
DD and DS have both been on the paed ward as babies. DD was three months and there overnight, DS was 3 days old and there 2 nights we had gone home and then he had to be readmitted and couldn't go into SCN).
They were great with us both times. The second time I took them in a new kettle for the parents pantry as the old one was so grimy!! I thought it was such a great help to the parents on the ward it was the least I could do.
RCH website says it will likely be a day procedure so we probably won't go to the ward.
