And I'm sitting on the couch because we just had a huge rat in our bedroom. And there's no way I can sleep now. We woke up, and it was behind our curtains, running along the slats of the blinds. We turned the lights on, saw it, and had no idea what to do. While we were helplessly debating what we were going to do (BBQ tongs were mentioned more than once) it ran it into the lounge. DH has set a trap and gone back to bed! Who can sleep??

Now it's running along the blinds in the lounge! Ahhh! What do I do???

Now I'm on the coffee table, as it ran behind the couch. It doesn't seems scared of anything! It's as big as my arm (wrist to elbow).

Unfortunately all our windows have fly screen that I'd have to pop out.

He ended up getting up again once he heard me jumping around on the couch trying to get it out from under there. We let in my jack Russell, but didn't see it again. He's gone to work late today so that he can buy supplies. And I've scrubbed every surface in the kitchen / lounge!

Hilarious! I'll have to try that tonight (since it's still on the loose). Might buy an anvil to squash it too!

Aaaaahhhhh. I don't think I could sleep again. I'm a bit scaredy cat when it comes to mice and rats.
