My husband has been toying for a few years with the idea of a TV show that involves his line of work and celebrities. He discussed it with a celebrity recently that he was doing some work for, they went to the TV station producers, and they were really keen on the idea!
Now my husband has an appointment next week with Channel 10 producers! I'm sure this happens all the time and it never goes anywhere, but you never no, hey? So what should we be doing to 'protect ourselves' legally? I'd just hate for them to say 'Na, the idea won't work' then a year later see it on the TV- and it was all my husband's idea originally. He has put everything about the concept down in writing to take to the appointment next week. Is there a certain type of agent that helps with this sort of thing? My husband would also be a professional host on the show, so how on earth would we know how things like $ gets worked out? We have NO IDEA, so any advice would be appreciated. Thanks! |
