My DH took his last breath this morning after a 9 month battle with lung cancer and emphysema. He had been hospitalised for 10 days and just lost the ability to breathe. We are currently wavering between disbelief, relief and sadness buoyed by the wonderful support from family and friends. My heartfelt gratitude to the wonderful nurses who have been so efficient, professional and kind to all of us.
